lindsey's argument
The use of HGH could go either way. Manufactured HGH, the growth hormone that is produced in labs or outside your body, can be used for positive, essential, or nonessential needs.
HGH should be used if it is used for the essential needs. These needs may include curing growth hormone deficiency and wasting from AIDS. All these essential needs are medical issues would actually do good to people. Also, if HGH is used for these disorders, or needs, it would be using HGH in a way that isn't illegal, unapproved by the FDA, or looked down upon.
The use of HGH should be restricted, if it is used for the non-essential needs of humans. These needs may include becoming, stronger, faster, taller, and more powerful, etc. People, especially professional athletes, use HGH for those reasons. Even though it is proven that manufactured HGH does not even affect your strength. The only reason to use HGH for those "needs" is that it can increase your sprinting capacity by about four percent. And that four percent could be the difference between first and last place sprinters. HGH should not be used as a way to cheat to win. Professional sports officials agree with this statement, and have banned the use of HGH in the Olympics, and other professional sports.
There is a difference between what humans need to have done to their bodies, and what humans want to have done to their bodies.
